Introducing Cat Grooming Mondays with Carrie Davis!
We’re so excited to announce a new service at Krissy’s Perfect Paws — Cat Grooming Mondays with our talented groomer, Carrie Davis!
Carrie has always dreamed of working with cats. After training under an experienced mentor for two years, she’s been grooming for a total of seven years. Originally from the U.S., Carrie came to Canada to start a new life — and grooming here has opened a whole new world of opportunity. She’s loved learning new techniques and gaining fresh perspectives from Canada’s thriving grooming community.
Her gentle touch and calm energy make her the perfect fit for cats (and the occasional nervous pup!). Whether it’s a brush-out, bath, de-shed, or even a lion cut, your feline friend is in great hands.
🛁 Why Is Grooming So Important?
Regular grooming isn’t just about looking fabulous — it’s essential for your pet’s overall health and well-being. Here’s why:
Maintains skin and coat health – Removes dirt, dander, and excess oils that can cause irritation.
Prevents health issues – Early detection of lumps, ticks, or skin problems.
Supports dental and ear health – Regular checks and cleaning reduce infections.
Reduces discomfort – Keeps mats, tangles, and overgrown nails from causing pain.
Strengthens the pet-owner bond – Regular grooming builds trust and comfort.
Improves appearance and hygiene – Because every pet deserves to look and feel their best!
🌿 Grooming = Longer, Healthier Life
When pets are groomed regularly, they’re happier and healthier. Clean coats help regulate body temperature, short nails prevent joint stress, and early detection of health issues means better outcomes. Grooming isn’t vanity — it’s longevity!
❄️ Breed of the Month: The Siberian Husky
The majestic Siberian Husky is known for its double coat, designed to handle extreme cold — which means they shed… a lot!
Grooming Needs:
Regular deshedding to control fur
Bathing every 4–6 weeks
Thorough blow-drying to prevent moisture buildup
Paw trimming to keep them comfortable
Fun Facts:
Huskies are born to run and were bred as sled dogs.
They rarely bark — they “talk” instead!
Their double coat keeps them cool in summer and warm in winter.
If you’ve got a Husky, keeping up with grooming is key to managing that endless fluff while keeping their coat healthy.
🧡 Happy Thanksgiving & Happy Halloween!
From all of us at Krissy’s Perfect Paws, we’re so grateful for our amazing clients — and we can’t wait to see your pets in their Halloween best!
Stay cozy, stay grateful, and keep those tails wagging!
